Our months of hard work and planning have finally paid off, we're pleased to announce that The Ontario Trillium Foundation has approved our grant application!
What this means for Pembroke Little Theatre is $25,000 to spend on technical equipment, we will be purchasing a wireless mic system for the actors, a wireless intercom for the techies, and some new spotlights for the audience.
Actually all this equipment will be for the audience. The mic's will really help the audience to hear the action on stage. The lights will help them see what's happening. Hopefully the intercom won't even be noticed, no more missed cues due to broken headsets.
We don't plan to hoard the wealth either, if you are a community theatre or performing arts group let us know if you need help with some tech. We have an assortment of equipment we may be willing to lend out, so give us a call or send an email.
The Ontario Trillium Foundation, an agency of the Ministry of Culture, receives annually $100 million of government funding generated through Ontario's charity casino initiative.
