The Youth Wing is for actors between the ages of six and eighteen, everyone is encouraged to come out to auditions regardless of their theatrical experience. The cast for each show is exclusively youth, and we encourage young people to assist with the backstage aspects of the shows as well. The Youth Wing typically performs at least one show every year, usually just after Christmas. This year's production was Mark Twain's The Prince and the Pauper directed by Sarah de Boer and Theresa Clouthier. The show had about 500 audience members over two nights and a matinée. As always, it was a treat to watch the youth members develop as actors throughout the rehearsal process and finally put it together on opening night. This year they might have cut it a little close, but the show must go on and the cast managed to put on a decent show, and have fun at the same time.
